CEO students submit a digital Weekly Summary--reflecting on their biggest wins, biggest challenges, networking connections, and feelings about themselves and the class overall.
One area of the Weekly Summary that many struggle to complete is the Peer Feedback section. Often it is left blank or is minimal--maybe because they don't know how to praise or critique one another in words.
One activity that helps is Post-It Praise. Students each get a pad of sticky notes and walk around the class writing positive feedback or praise to another student and then stick it inside of that student's name tent.
The time it takes to make it around the room isn't rushed, and each student gets to keep the notes as long as they like--some keep the notes all year to raise their spirits and encourage them when needed.
We often say in this class that it's not hard, but it's work. Taking time to recognize each other isn't hard. It just takes effort and time to do it.
