You can spend a lot of money on a party, but if you don't send out the invitations, it's going to fail.
Dave Wisniewski, sales manager of Midwest Communications, shared that analogy with CEO about the value of good marketing. A business might offer the best product or service possible, but without marketing, potential customers may never cross the threshold.
However, marketing alone cannot make a business successful.
Dave explained why that is using "The Marketing Bridge." He said making a sale also includes factors about the business itself, the price and value to the customer, merchandising, and how the business personally sells to each customer.
CEO has been working on their second class business and is constructing their pitch for the Board. Dave offered many suggestions. He explained the value of creating an advertisement demo for the Board, sponsors and customers to see; using Artificial Intelligence as a tool; frequently putting the product or service in the public eye; and adding some familiar community faces to the marketing campaign. CEO students are not only learning how to market their class business but their individual businesses as well.
