Karina Bones, a senior at West Vigo High School, is focused on building a future grounded in service, leadership, and academic excellence. She plans to pursue a degree in forensic accounting and later attend law school to become a child advocacy lawyer. This career path would allow her to unite a passion for justice with a strong dedication to advocating for and protecting children in need.
Her work at Camp Navigate and various volunteer roles have strengthened her leadership skills, initiative, and ability to connect with others. As the sole proprietor of K’s Creations, Karina has gained valuable entrepreneurial experience by managing product creation, inventory, financial records, and conducting research. She is also a participant in the Vigo County CEO Program, which is further developing her business knowledge, networking skills, and entrepreneurial mindset. These are some tools she plans to apply directly to growing her business. Karina has maintained a high GPA and strong class rank while actively participating in clubs such as DECA, NHS, and Class Senate, and competing in sports including cheer, swimming, and tennis. These experiences have helped shape her into a well-rounded, motivated individual prepared to take on the challenges of higher education and beyond.
