Last week as CEO prepared to attend the Rally Innovation conference in Indianapolis, students asked, "How are we to dress? Professional? Business casual?"
For the past 3 years, students in CEO have adopted another dress style they call "the Huxford," a style they recognize in CEO Board Chair Brian Huxford.
Students have learned the value of a suit jacket or blazer. It elevates a more casual style--even with jeans. After COVID, many returned to work wanting to continue the comfort of dress they wore working remote. It has become called "professional casual." Dress shoes or boots, jeans (without holes), and a jacket over a top or t-shirt.
CEO students celebrate days they get to wear jeans, much like business workers enjoy casual Fridays. Yet, they know, it doesn't hurt to keep a professional jacket in the car.
