"How you do something is how you do everything."
Zack Bignell shared with CEO that he loves learning experiences. Whether it's something he knows a lot about already (like auto mechanics) or he knows little about (like limosine and mortuary services), Zach does his research and has no problem consulting those who know more.
Bignell Automotive, Luxe Limousine, and MTS (Mortuary Transportation Services) are all owned by Zack. He began learning the automotive repair business at 14-years-old, and he worked his way to owning his own shop. He just recently began his other two businesses.
"I like solving people's problems," he told CEO.
Zack prides himself that he didn't borrow money to start his automotive shop. He already had a lot of the tools it took. "It takes a long time to build a business, and it can be lost quickly because of cash flow." So, he started small. Zack stressed the value of putting money back into your business. He said that he views money as a tool and is always asking himself what he could be doing better, still minding the question, "How's the cash flow?"
CEO students were interested in how he manages his time by running three businesses. He said he strictly adheres to a 6 o'clock closing time, monitors his self care, and doesn't make impulsive decisions that he might later regret.

"You have to take care of yourself," he said. "It affects your business." So, he takes time off and away from the automotive business (which he runs alone) to avoid burnout. All the while, still fielding phone calls for the other two businesses.
Zack is in the process of beginning another business. "I'm always adding more to my plate," he said. He told CEO that he doesn't see himself ever retiring.
